There are often situations where companies have a heavy legal workload to endure. An example may be when they are considering acquiring another company. The work involves conducting a due diligence exercise involving the examination of accounting records, contracts, systems etc. In addition to the due diligence exercise there will be negotiations, meetings, heads of agreement to be drafted, warranties and the final contract. The costs associated with such an exercise can be huge. The instructing company usually instructs external accountants and solicitors and has to co-ordinate all of the external activities.
ICL Commercial Law provide an outsourcing service to companies. We can run an entire project externally and report at agreed intervals to the board, or we can provide a team with legal and accounting qualifications to work “in house”. The benefit to the company is that they get a first class managed service at fixed costs, much lower than using external solicitors and accountants leaving busy directors to continue running their businesses.
Solicitors
Solicitor’s firms have fluctuating workloads and maintain their staffing levels to cope with their general stream of work. There are times when firms experience an increase in workload and do not have the staffing capacity to deal with the additional work an example may be the necessity to prepare large volumes of documents.
ICL Commercial Law provide an outsourcing service to solicitor’s firms where we can assist with the preparation of document generation. We can assist on an external basis or supply a team who will work in house under the supervision of the solicitors.
