I was a director of a number of companies and trusted my co-director. Un be known to me my co-director was engaged in fraudulent activities which resulted in serious criminal charges being levied against me. As a licensed insolvency practitioner I have a duty to investigate any matters of concern during the course of my work in liquidations. I discovered that two directors had withdrawn a substantial sum of money from the bank account of a company just days prior to liquidation. I was previously a director of a company that entered into liquidation.
